How to collect fan emails and send a music newsletter
Collect permission, download your fan list, and bring it into your email service.
Anyone can read this guide. Some steps use features in Pro or Lifetime.
- 1
Turn on fan email capture
- In your smart link editor, switch on fan email capture and save (Pro or Lifetime).
- Tell fans what they’ll get: release news, tour dates or other updates.
Tip: Submit the form once yourself with an email you control.
- 2
Review and export your fans
- Go to Dashboard → Smart Links, open the link, then open its fan list.
- Click the CSV export to download it.
Watch out: Keep the file private. A submitted address isn’t verified, so don’t assume double opt-in.
- 3
Import into your email service
- In Mailchimp, Brevo or MailerLite, choose Import contacts and upload your CSV.
- Match the email column and put contacts in a clearly named artist or release group.
Watch out: This is a manual export, not automatic syncing. Respect unsubscribes in both places.
- 4
Send responsibly
- Verify your sender domain with your email service.
- Use a recognizable sender name, honest subject lines and an unsubscribe link.
- Remove bounced addresses and never buy lists.
Tip: Turn on double opt-in where you can — it keeps your list healthy and out of spam.
